alyssa ishihara

I'm a New York based performer originally from Hilo, Hawai'i. I grew up dancing but quit when I was 13. I tried competitive gymnastics and cheerleading. Then my life lead me to being a medical biller/coder for an OBGYN office at 21. The next year, I sustained a lower back disc injury from suddenly sitting 40 hours a week and I thought, "is this all my life is going to be?"

The next year, I moved to New York to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and thank god I booked work after graduating because wow, I sure did implode my stable and secure life. Favorite Credits include: The Cher Show, The Full Monty, The Goodbye Girl, Gypsy, Mamma Mia!, Chicago, and An American in Paris.

When I'm not performing or working my super fulfilling desk job that I love soooo much, I enjoy baking, cooking, painting, and aspires to one day be retired and travel.
